There are so many out there, which one should you use? This is probably the hardest part of the process because everyone has his or her opinion of what you need or should have. Some have more features than the others and cost more. Ask yourself what I need for my practice and how easy it is to use? What other products will work with it? Will equipment such as intra-oral cameras and digital x-ray integrate with the software properly? Then ask what I will want it to do for me in the future. Some let you add more components as you grow, while others require you to change to a new version. Any major change or upgrade will cost you more money and may cause you to lose production due to downtime. We have found it better to pay now rather than later. Then consider the software tech support. Ask for a list of doctors using the software and most importantly who set it up for them. A referral is usually the best and most reliable reference.
